Resident Evil 2 on DC is a slightly less shiny, polished version of Resident Evil 2 on PC. It stands to reason, since it's running off WindowsCE. But it's more enjoyable to play a game like that with a controller rather than a keyboard. I would like to try RE3DC some day but the Toys R Us I went to was sold out and the Best Buy nearby had lines like you wouldn't believe. Note to self: don't go out around Christmas.... 10 minutes just trying to get out of the parking lot?

...I'm wandering around level 1:1, trying to rebuild my HP so I can tackle 2:1.

...In a hurry (and not being able to read Japanese), my dad picked up a box of 'Peko Poko' at the grocer's.... If you don't know what it [Peko Poko] is, it's layers of alternating milk creme and wafers, coated in white chocolate. Individually wrapped and not too bad, they're also not very satisfying as snacks.

...In Star Ocean: SS, I made a decision that seems like it's going to affect later events.... Sure, it's nice to have "customized experiences" but how much of the games are we missing out on nowadays?... And what about this awful trend of game companies rewarding players who save few times while playing?!... What if you want to just sneak a quick game in during a half hour break or something? Nope, you'll ruin your save record. And keeping track of time? What if something happens like you get an unexpected but necessary phone call? How do you know if the game is still keeping track of your time?? Combine that with the incentive not to save and...Agh!

...(Personal gripe: DW2 is nothing like the first game; the publisher's playing off people who liked the first game just for name recognition.... Gee, for a system that's endlessly touted as being so incredibly amazing and powerful, there's an awful lot of pop-up and fog.... For twice the money, do you get twice the game-playing experience as the Dreamcast offers? (Or should I say for MORE than twice the money, since you actually can't buy one for (its already ridiculous price) of $300 at a regular store?)

It's killer. 10 minutes just trying to get out of the parking lot? Oh, dear!

I finally picked Gauntlet Legends (DC) back up. I'm wandering around level 1:1, trying to rebuild my HP so I can tackle 2:1. -_- It's not so exciting doing that. Where's the difficulty curve? Set for 4 players?

In a hurry (and not being able to read Japanese), my dad picked up a box of 'Peko Poko' at the grocer's. He thought he was buying Pocky. If you don't know what it [Peko Poko] is, it's layers of alternating milk creme and wafers, coated in white chocolate. Individually wrapped and not too bad, they're also not very satisfying as snacks. :} Still, $1.19? Gah. At least it has 0g "Dielary" Fiber.

In Star Ocean: SS, I made a decision that seems like it's going to affect later events. This is beginning to bother me. Sure, it's nice to have "customized experiences" but how much of the games are we missing out on nowadays? 40%? Sigh. And what about this awful trend of game companies rewarding players who save few times while playing?! That's terrible! What if you want to just sneak a quick game in during a half hour break or something? Nope, you'll ruin your save record. And keeping track of time?  What if something happens like you get an unexpected but necessary phone call? How do you know if the game is still keeping track of your time?? Seaman coming to your PC? Weird!

PS2? Big deal! I saw it in Toys R Us, demoing Dynasty Warriors 2. (Personal gripe: DW2 is nothing like the first game; the publisher's playing off people who liked the first game just for name recognition. That's not kosher.) Gee, for a system that's endlessly touted as being so incredibly amazing and powerful, there's an awful lot of pop-up and fog. Hmm. For twice the money, do you get twice the game-playing experience as the Dreamcast offers? (Or should I say for MORE than twice the money, since you actually can't buy one for (its already ridiculous price) of $300 at a regular store?) And what's with accessory prices? $35 for controllers and memory cards?
